I decided to strip all the paint off my old Trek 5900 superlight for a rebuild. I was going to use my carbo lift but once I got stuck in with a craft knife , sort of cut/scraped big chunks of paint off. I managed to get all the paint off in 4 hours including tea breaks and caramac chocolate bar . Frame looks great and I would recommend this method to anyone out there.

This is the 2004 model same as Lance used to ride . http://www.activoweb.com/portfolio/Trek ... eModelID=3

With all the paint off and I weighed the paint in a plastic bag I lost over 200grms , It feels quite light obviously not as light as my Guru but not to bad and I loved riding it, small head tube very aggressive bike .
I will throw on some new forks and some WW parts and see how light I can get it . Shooting for under 12lbs .
Its very very grey looks pretty cool . I am just going to put a few decals on and some aero 303 but no paint
.
