speed play claim to have smallest stack height, what pedals are close to these are crankbrother and egg beaters of similar stack height or less, does anyone have actual stack height for road pedals.

also do spd mountain bike pedals have smaller stack height than speedplay if so which pedals, also out of the mtb spd pedals which have smallest stack height, and does anyone know the actual stack height of mtb pedals.

thanks

http://speedplay.com/index.cfm?fuseacti ... ompareroad is useful, but doesn't have all pedals.

http://www.crankbrothers.com/tech_eggbeater.php wrote:The egg beater has a lower stack height than most other road and mountain pedals. Crank Brothers pedals have a stack height of only 15.2mm (0.600inch) which is 3mm - 5mm closer than many other pedals.

Crank Brothers apparently is being very selective as to which other pedals constitute "most". Time RXS have stack height of 12.5 mm and Time i-clic have stack height of 13 mm. Speedplays have 11.5 mm stack height for 3-hole mounting and 8.5 mm stack height for 4-hole mounting.

well if your using them for road go with the speedplays. you get much more power transfer than the mtb pedals. if you dont like the ice skating feel go with the time. its a hit or miss. went from looks to speedplays, the speedplays forced me to smooth out my pedal stroke.
