Yes, i did notice that the bearings on the standard DT-Swiss part I received from Chain Reaction are larger than the ones in the original that came off the wheel, was wondering why that was the case, thanks for reassuring me on that.

As per viewtopic.php?f=3&t=106142&p=908793#p907744 , apparently all Gipfelsturm rear wheels now come with DT190 hubs (though with steel bearings), and therefore have, as Mario Jr. would characterize it, inadequately small freehub bearings. The Ventoux (Gipfelsturm predecessor) came in 190 and 240 models, so there was the option of getting DT 240 rear hub with its more robust freewheel. The Gipfeslturm does not provide that option, unless the customer chooses to replace the 190 freehub with the 240 freehub at his/her own expense.
