I hope they use the same frame through the entire range...

Is this nice or what
BTW. Anyone aware of, when specialized is announcing their catalogue for 2013? Maybe on Eurobike? I'm thinking of getting myself SL4pro with Sram Red.... but since new Red is on horizon... I'm willing to wait for 2013. You think the price will went up for a bike with 2013red vs. bike with "old" red?

Agree: I'm glad to see another company treat Al seriously, although hard to imagine the Specialize adds anything to what CAAD 10 already has.

It's nice to have options though. Pushes one company to either outperform or outprice their bikes.

Aluminum makes a great race bike. Glad to see Specialized getting back into the high end aluminum game. They're S-Works E5 was a sweet bike.
According to Bike Radar the MSRP on the S-Works Allez is >$6500 USD. Compare that with the $3600 Ultegra Di2 CAAD10. Of course the wheels in the Allez are nicer and Red is probably worth a little more than the Ultegra Di2, but I don't think I could justify the near $3000 premium.
