Fading clear coat on frame?

I have a matte black SuperSix HighMod and it appears as if the clear coat is oxidizing/fading. Can anything be done/applied to frame to protect it? Concerned about negative effects of exposing carbon to the elements if any. Will try to get pics up asap...

It's not fading it is just they way the carbon looks. I assume this is on your top tube I thought they same thing took bike to the LBS and they said it was fine. If you go look at a new bike on the floor of a shop it will look the same as your bike.

I'm guessing the black that you are seeing isn't carbon at all - it is black paint. Sand the matte paint off and you will see carbon weave.
