Either of these rims would be nice, each have there strong point. The Stans is a little lighter, were the Velocity has that nice wider rim profile.

I agree with others that some handbuilts could be nice for that price. I'm also in the 'stan right now and will be spending a stupid amount of money on bikes when I get home in a few months. Stay safe!
