Crazy light, but somehow much more comforting than skewers using 2 different materials that are bonded together.

i like them, nice weight with the levers included
i never trusted my tune skyline as the fixed cap came loose of the axle and they require a silly tool to remove your wheel
at 119 eurie very pricy but not impossible to buy

hmmm... will those tiny alu. threads on the nuts hold? indeed these are scary light, but i like them. anyone used the alien 2's?

The Alien 2s are considered heavy by today's standards of minimal quick releases but they are beautifully machined components, which are trustworthy and changing a wheel under duresss is easy with the full sized lever. They have this cool design element that keeps the springs in place (both sides) when you remove the end nut. They work well on MTBs if you are still running QRs. Colors available too.

No, I don't work for nor am I associated with Extralite - other than being a satisfied customer through the years. They make beautiful parts and Sergio Riva is a nice guy with a sense of style.
