Hi guys,

I know that a lot of you here use light carbon wheels for racing, but I am curious to find out what wheels do you use for your training purposes ?

I use the Easton Velomax Circuit II wheels--strong, durable, and stiff! Plus they have a 30mm aero rim so that when you change to your race day aero wheels, you aren't totally surprised by the "crosswind" effect of an aero wheel.

They come in at a reasonable weight too: 1720g

this is somewhat on topic...

I was thinking about this the other day. For the guys who have the LWs, what percentage of the time do you ride them? And what merits not using them (rain...)

Standard spoked wheels: Open Pros on Campy hubs on my old road bike, other Mavic or Velocity rims on my other training wheels (cross, etc).

Reynods Mid V clinchers. On larger group rides with potentially higher idiot factor.

LWs with the regulars and solos - reasoning is that I don't think carbon spokes don't take crashes so well - and I don't get replacements the way Jan does.......
