Wilier Cento Uno VS. Giant TCR Advanced SL
Moderator: robbosmans
I own Cento Uno 2010 which I can admit is an excellent bike, beautiful ride, great look, nothing to pick on it. But as a cyclists I like to swap now and then between frames, I just like it... I guess some of you can understand me, something to play with without being board. So I'm looking on other frames, basically same budget of what I have and I swap all components from the owned bike to the newer frame I get I'm looking now into the Giant Advanced SL 2010 ISP frame.
I would really appreciate to hear your take on this move, what are you thinking and with which frame you would prefer to stay with if you had the choice.

Not swamp, the proper word is swap

I have a TCR Advance SL and I have tested the Cento Uno. To me the Giant has a little lighter and crisper feel to the ride. The front end on the Giant feels more solid. However that doesn't mean you'll like it better. To me it's a lateral move and unless it was the latest and greatest offering from Giant I think you are wasting time and maybe money. If the Giant frame is new than it might be worth the effort to ease the "boredom".

Hmmmm. My recommendation is to get the.........

The Cento is the superior bike by MILES. That Wilier is one of the best handling pieces of kit on the planet (each to his own, of course) and I would not consider it a lateral change, but rather a significant downgrade.

I personally would never ride any Italian bike. The 101 is nice but the warranty is awful. I've ridden the 101 a number of times but I never got the feeling from it that I'd buy one. It's fast, stiff, and comfortable but it felt like it was missing something. At least that's what I felt. Bikes are very very personal.
I do have two Giants and I love them. Plus they have a lifetime warranty on all their frames which nice because that gives me the feeling they stand behind their product. That is an important aspect to think about when buying a frame I think.
Unless it's a second hand frame...then I'd say keep and ride them both...
