Hey,

I Have 2 discs now but I can't deciede what disc to use this weekend in de EC TT.

The first is my own disc: Mavic comete clincher
I think it is of the year 2002 so it is already 10 years old but the hub is still running verry well.
Verry stiff disc.
weight: 1300g

The second disc I can use of a friend: HED Stinger FR Disc (tubulair)
It is the 2012 or 2011 disc only had 5TT's so still new.
It is a 90mm spoked wheel but has wheel covers.
Tony Martin used this disc on the WC last year.
less stiff
weight: 1153g

What is the course like for this TT? I would be inclined to go with the HED due to the more aerodynamic shape and also lighter, especially if it's hilly. I think the Mavic would be fine too, they are great for flat and fast courses, but my guess is the HED would be a bit quicker.

HED Stinger is very fast, stiff enough for me doing 45Kmh+ avg timetrials. As you said, it is already stiff wheel that has been stiffened by adding a cover.

If you already have these two discs, race HED, sell the Mavic and go for a vacation trip for you and your girl at the end of the season.

nice coment :)
but the hed wheel is not mine :)

but the comet is stiff enough to doe 48kmh+ TTs for me :p

Hard to decide.. I'm sure the comet is more stif but that's not the only important thing..

If that's with turnaround, why are you not on pro ranks?

beacaus the pros do 50kmH+ TT's over 50k. I'm still in the U23category. most of the TT's are only 25km, but on a fast track the winners do 50kmH...
