Yes, I know, I'm running Praxis on my Exogram compacts. By stating something like "they may not work exactly perfectly but they'll work regardless" I'm still giving a nod to Praxis' marketing game while giving people a basically correct answer.

Can you please put the picture of your crank?
It looks you are the only one here with compact design rings.
thanks

Here are how mine are rotated. Shifting works perfect. The catch pin is still near enough to the arm "just in case" but really everything has been perfect thus far. Quite pleased.

And yes, the crankarms are with graphics & clearcoat completely removed. Saved some more weight there.

Received my new Exogram Compact GXP (175) today... and split it up right away.

It was a bit disappointing to see, that there is only 18 grams difference between the stock Sram chain rings (supposed to be very heavy) and the Stronglight CT2's from my recent Rotor crank.

Sram Exogram (50/34) : 157 grams
Stronglight CT2 (50/34) : 139 grams (104 grams/35 grams)

The small CT2 is actually 6 grams heavier than the Sram ring.

The overall weight of 555 grams is pretty good though :) And it looks damn nice...

Next step is to start sanding...

After looking through this thread, I saw that one of you are using the Extralite Octaramp RC2 (94 grams/set). They look awesome, but the question is... can they handle the power of the Di2 FD? Anyone has any experience with that combo?

8 grams later... it looks like this

I am really satisfied... now I have to get on with the 303 Aerospace.

Still curious whether the Extralite Octaramp RC2 will work with the Di2 FD... anyone?

Will get my 175 Compact cranket in the next few days, so will be interesting to compare the weights to Juggler's.

Managed to score the crankset (NIB) for A$360 delivered (about US$350) which is a good deal.

Just gotta decide which BB to get now, and keep my eyes peeled for some Praxis rings.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Exiting to see, if the weight is the same (give and take a few grams).

Why are you going with Praxis rings? Stiffness? Weight? Or shifting smoothness?

Gotta laugh at the irony , otherwise I'd cry

A day, yes, less than 24 hours, after I ordered and paid for the cranks, I got confirmation that the frame I've been after fro ages is finally available in a month or so. And it's BB30 8)

So, whilst I can use an adaptor, if I can sell it at the right price (and I should be able to) and find a BB30 at the right price (have done so), I'll go with the BB30 version !!!

I'll still post weights when I get it, but then hope to do the same with the BB30 version.

The want to go to the Praxis rings was a bit of a WW thing, and looks too.

I switched to Praxis rings. The shifting is not as good as the stock rings, but I'm using a SRAM chain. I'd say right now the shifting is probably 90% as good. Does using a KMC or Shimano chain really make that much of a difference?

My compact 172.5 2012 Exogram BB30 I got for the cross bike was 524g, I swapped the 50t for my 46t FSA ring and dropped it down to 497g, pretty happy with it so far. Would like an even lighter 46T but have had no luck yet.
