Hey Guys,

I can't adjust the back brakes any lower, 'cause they're as low as they go, but the brake pads are just hanging off the top of the brake track. Any suggestions?

I thought I could get to them with a file, and file away the slot in the brake arm, so the brakes could be adjusted lower.

Sorry they are a bit crappy.

I definitely wouldn't modify the brake itself. Can you fit a set of pad carriers with the proper ball and socket adjustment so you can angle the pad down? That will buy you around 2mm if they will physically fit between the rim and the brake arm; or if the brake will open wide enough etc...

don't file the brake slot, or you'll end up with a damage Orion.
it's hollow inside as well (i presume)

bring this over to a YS Road at Okachimachi (tiny little shop), look for the head mechanic.
this guy is good, and the shop has loads small spare parts (Campy, Shimano etc), pretty sure there's some bracket, plate or something to lower down the calipers.
have him look at it and ask for the best possible solution.

Hey Guys,

Thanks to everyone for chiming in. I have changed the pad holders to KCNC, and I also did a bit of filing! It's not perfect but good enough. I just got a set of Enve 3.4 Smart rims built up, so will be interested if it's better or worse with the different rim profile.
