Hey, was looking to get these for new build i'm doing as I can't justify the extra cost of the SISLs, and it will still allow me to fit a quarq or power2max(more likely) powermeter in the future.

However, the crank bolt on them is a bright, shiny red, which probably won't fit in with the rest of the bike too well.

Does anybody know where/if I can get an alternative crank bolt on these, like black, or even white?

Tried contacting the UK distributor but got no reply

Oh, and while i'm here. Is the housing that Powercordz sell with their cables any good? Seems to be that everyone with powercordz uses nokon or ilinks with them, but i'm not much of a fan of the whole 'vertebrae look'.

Thanks

I've seen them with Black bolts, so maybe if you call Rotor in Spain they would be able to help you out. Their sales guy - I believe - is an Aussie who speaks English, so no language barrier..,

The color of the spindle may have something to do with the spindle material. Red may be Titanium. Sorry, I'm not 100% sure.

3D+ is Aluminum spindle, you're think of 3D.

To the OP, I haven't ridden the crank yet, still building, but I am really happy with the decision to buy the 3D+ cranks.
Compact cranks came in at 478g. Spacers (1 used for BBRight) was 7g.
With 34/50 Q-Rings complete minus BB it ended up at 632g. Since it was BBRight pressfit 30 BB that only weighed 87g

Red caps are for after market cranks. The black ones are OEM. Cervelo or Forcus.

Here is a photo of a pair I got a few months ago. They did come with the red, but I am almost positive that the black is available. Ask your dealer. I have another pair on the way, so I will let you know what it comes with. Good luck.

Thanks.

I'm a bit confused by your picture though. The red bolt is the same as in all the pics i've seen of it, but normally there is a '+' beside the 3D on the crank too :noidea:

My pair was one of about 6 pairs in the U.S. (the rest went to Garmin/Cervelo), so it was an early pair. They may have made changes on the new ones. I should have another pair in about a week and will take a look at them for you.

As I said, after market 3D+ cranks come with red caps.

The "+" were not on the first small batch of production cranks. I got one in November that way. All the newer ones I have received has the "+".

Yup. My friends got a 2011 R3, and his Rotor 3D+ cranks have the black centre.

Where are these 3D+ cranks available? Haven't been able to find a dealer online or LBS. Any USA/Europe online sources?
