Hi all,

Please advice which wheel set should I choose.

Brand new Zipp 101 or used Zipp 303(2011 non firecrest tubular with GP4000 tires mounted in good condition). The 303 sets are US $300 expensive than the 101.

Thanks all

Buy another set of wheels. You can have better wheels for the money.

I just sold my Corima Aero Plus few days ago.

I have a pair Campagnolo Neutron now. Please advice which brand and model are better than Zipp in this price range. Thanks

I think that these are great budget choices. The weight and excellent reviews on the 303s would compel me to get them.

I have both of these wheelsets. 165lbs here. They are both great. I use 101s for training and the 303s for racing. Can't really go wrong with either.

I'm 165lbs too. I didn't race, just ride for fun and health!

Should I take the 101 because of the durability of the alloy rim?

I don't think you need to worry about the durability of the 2010-2011 303s.

durability of the 303 is unquestionably high. what it really comes down to is:
cost of flat tires. tubulars=expensive in these situations.\
all-weather braking. carbon surfaces, while improved, still suck in the wet for braking.
cost of replacing a rim if you do end up putting it into a ditch.
... and that's about it. besides those points, the 303s are lighter, a bit more aero.

can't really advise unless we know what you're using the wheels for. both are durable. you say you don't race, but if you buy the 303's and are planning on using them as your everyday wheelset, are you comfortable riding a tubular and changing a tubular on the road?

you already have a decent set of alloy clinchers in the neutron. . .what do you plan on doing with the 101's?

Why I considering Zipp 101 instead of Neutron is base on more "Aero". I was riding my friend's 404 and really like the "Feel" of Zipp wheels.

In fact I never had a chance to try the 101.....

101's are very wide, heavier than neutron, so will rub against your stays if they buckle slightly. I fancied them for awhile too, hope it's a flash flood passion for you as I would never exchange them for neutron either.
