From the article, the new line of wheels will be called 'AERO'. Wow!

The marketing folks went all out on that one.

Big surprise. The big guys, Zipp, Hed, Bontrager with the $$$ and investment in research decide a wider profile rim is better, then within a year, the smaller guys get a few of them, take the basic dimensions, change a few tiny things about the wheel to avoid patent infringements, and make their own version. Who would have thought?!?!

I agree, I've been riding the Reynolds 32 tubulars, the rim width is 20.8mm - a perfect gluing surface. With 22 or 23 or 25 tires, they're incredible wheels. I can't figure out how much better the new Reynolds wheels will be!

I've got the MV32s tubies as well - great set of wheels and coasting downhill, I easily keep up with others riding these new fat boy rims
It only hurts if you think.

I can tell you that the new Reynolds wheels are not anything like the Zipps or Heds. They have gone to a wider rim profile yes, but are not remotely related in any other way.

Cheers

Anyone know which Chinese manufacturer is making these rims? It won't be long before something comes out the back door, so hold on to your money folks!

Comparing the two is like comparing a Chateau Latour to Night Train.

Simon Smart has chops that Paul Lew never will...
