What do you guys think about this? Seems like the brake track is delaminating. Wheel has about 2,000 miles on it. I bought it new but off guy selling it on here (he decided to get tubulars instead) so I don't think I have a warranty. Should I stop riding it? The only real problem is that it causes the braking to vibrate and make noise as the pads hit these sections. This is only happening on the front wheel.

I had the same thing happened to me last year. The next thing that happened on a short downhill was rim bulging in that spot. My wheel was replaced under warranty, but since then I do not trust these wheels.

I would not ride that wheel !!!

I would try contacting Easton with that picture.

What brake pads do you use on those rims?

Perhaps the person you bought the front wheel from can get it replaced under warranty ...

Contact Easton with some other hi-res pics from different angles. They are very good about warranty issues.

I too had the same thing happen to me, but to the rear wheel. I am trying to get the wheel repaired or replaced under warranty, but no word yet. I would not ride the wheel as it will only get worse. If you can't get it replaced, hopefully you can get a new rim for a discount.
