Yah but tires is probably the biggest thing. A weenie bottle cage is 8-15g. Tires can be a 200-250g savings. No tufo track tires!

Hei, im finally gonna try to submit my bike to the gallery collumn..
But everytime i looked at all of the submissions i get very shy...

Im looking at bikes that are using 105s grupset, but weighting around 6.5 kg

So i must be missing something. Maybe my weighting methods are different cause i weight my bike with the bottle cage attached, and the k-edge garmin unit on

So please share your weighting methods. Thankyou and looking forward to learning the weightweenieism ods,

I weigh my bike ready to ride, so that include: two bottlecages (albeit no bottles ), pedals, garmin Edge 500.

To say there are dozens of ways to weigh a bike on ww is probably a gross understatement.

In my mind no bottle cage or computer mount, but with pedals.

I have seen someone weighing bikes deliberately with flat tires though. Others have done it without bar tape. Or without headset top cap. Occassionally you do run into guys that report weights that they hope their bikes weigh.

I kind of agree with by our own conciences. I weigh mine with computer and one bottle cage an pedals. That's how I ride, heck, that's what I own! The standard shouldn't include two cages or a saddle bad because I don't even own two cages or a saddle bag.

And no pump.

And it should be weighed on a "good day". Say you run latex tubes but you get a couple flats thIs winter and all you have are butyl tubes. I'm not going to change the weight of my bike online or in my head to heavier, although I should go get latex tubes. More permanent Ganges like changing out the tape should be included.

If I had to go with one consensus for a standard weight I would go with the poster who said weigh like you race it. If you don't eve then like you ride it.
