Favorite Road Tubeless Tires? Hutchinson or Maxxis?
Of the two....which has the best rolling resistance/weight/ease of setup, for Campagnolo Shamal non-2 way fit? Yes, I'll definitely be using sealant.....not quite sure of which one yet. Opinions?

Hutchison have been the only ones I've been able to find available so unfortunetly the only ones I've used. The IRC tubeless have received some good reviews as well.
I'm just waiting for rubino pros in tubeless, the only thing I miss from going tubeless.

There's no importer for irc? So all orders have to be shipped from Japan. The only site I've found them on is like $140 per tire including shipping.

I ride IRC Formula Pro Tubeless Lights - they tip the scales right as reported, 240g each, and are probably the comfiest tubeless tires I've yet used. Lightest, too, to the best of my knowledge. They pop onto rims very easily, and perhaps because of this they take more effort to seat than Hutchinsons, but once you get over that, they're rad. I had mine shipped from Japan via a friend over there.

Any advice on making these wheels tubeless compatible? I haven't found anything specific for my wheels, 2011 ultra non 2 way.
Stans Yellow tape.

Yeah. Yellow tape will enable most tires to work with only two wraps. IRC's demand more, like 3-4 wraps around.

I hear the only rim tape necessary, for Shamal Ultra non 2-Way Fit is where the rim seams are welded/pinned. I'm going to try a strip of Velox and give the Hutchinson Atom Comp Tubeless a shot, with Stans sealant.
Results will follow-up....

I have 2 layers of Stans yellow on HED C2's works a treat.
If it's a welded rim with no spoke nipple holes there shouldn't be a need to run anything on the rim other then the tire.

I would not use a velox rim strip with stan's in the tire. The cloth will soak up a bunch a lot of the sealant.
