I would not claim to completely understand their marketing. But I do not think that we are the intended market.
I would draw the parallel between the Miami boat show and the Monaco boat show. At the Miami boat show most of the guys walk on to some super sleek 120 ft express boat and want to know the horse power generated by the pair of V20 engines. They might even want to know the brand of engines and the tank capacities. At the Monaco boat show they rarely get that question and if they do they can simple say adequate and move on.
The weight weenies are for the most part technical enthusiasts. We care about the weight and stiffness and will ask about what bearings they are using.
These limited edition wheels are for an entirely different crowd. They are for the Monaco boat owner who likes to ride a nice bike. And they are getting a great wheel to go along with the fancy spokes so no harm.

I have a pair of clincher c's and switched the freehub from campy to shimano. Took a standard dt rotor. Pretty easy to swap. Hope that helps.
No, the 190 body is lighter, but they are interchangeable.

You're correct in saying that Lightweight have sold all of the wheels, but a good proportion of these sales are to shops and local distributors, which means they are still available for purchase.

You are partially correct
If you would still like to purchase a pair, please let me know and I'll point you in the direction of a stocking dealer.
