posting for a friend

he's got a compatiblity issue between his Quarq (sram s975) and his bb86 frame. He's not quite sure about the BB type of his quarq but said he uses the 24mm spindle.

People at quarq cant help him.... he's getting nuts as the racing season is starting here.

Any help appreciated, thanks

I'm not sure how you expect anyone here to help him if we don't know what frame it is and what BB type Quarq it is.

Hell, you didn't even state what the problem is. "Compatibility issue" is really generic.

No wonder Quarq customer support can't help him.

Its a truvativ crank on a bb86(shimano) bb. There is an adapter, take the bike into any LBS they will hook you up.

Ah sorry, he disnt provide much info

Its a Devinci frame with bb86 and a sram gxp press fit quarq

He said the problem was the DS was too close from the frame. He took it to a lbs and they added spacers to the DS and it was fine. Be he discovered the crank was loose, he coule move it from side to side

You need a wave washer on the DS, did he have that? Adding a spacer to the DS won't do much. SRAM cranks are located by the NDS bearing.
