It's already come and gone in the tennis racquet industry. I don't see an advantage for bikes. Maybe you can injection mold some lugs/parts?

Not likely, its strength to weight ratio is surpassed by other less expensive and more easily manufactured materials. Amorphous metals also fail catastrophically they don't plastically deform as a crsytalline metal alloy would (nothing in the structure to impede crack propagation). This does not make for a preferred material for structural components.

There are some applications that would improve wear performance in the drivetrain but this is a flame sputtered application of a thin layer to cogs/rings/chain rollers/pins. This is a different alloy and process than the bulk metallic glass "molding" process that is touted as a revolution in manufacturing.

Yeah thanks. Just trying to set records.

I took some time off bike with new baby and a stint pretending I was a rock climber. Back to biking. Posted a few thing to roadbikereview, then remember you all are considerably smarter and "linked in".

As a steelist, it's a delicious thought, if some einstein can make it viable for bikes one day; just think, poss lighter than the lightest carbon, and 2-3 times the stress load of the Reynolds 953. MmmHmm, carbon? what, pray tell, was that?

quit pretending and do both at the same time!

Or maybe I am also just pretending...but put rock climbing and cycling together and add some yoga and you've got a great full body workout!
