Matching reds is difficult. If they are different hues (almost always are) the bike ends up looking cheap.

And yes, black hoods usually look better than color hoods.

This is always correct.

Bar tape should be white, unless your entire bike and parts are black, in which case it should be black to complete the stealth look.

As far as the saddle goes, I generally try to match mine to my eyes.
