I am riding a Stevens Stelvio (aluminium) for 8 years now and I think its time for an upgrade.

I was looking at a few aluminium and carbon frames during the last few months:

Viner Vigor (2011)
Cannondale CAAD10 (2012)
Bianchi Sempre (2011)
Haibike Affair SL (2011)
Focus Izalco (2011)
Fuji SL1 (2010?)
Scott Addict R3 (2010?)
Colnago CLX (2011 and 2012)
Canyon Ultimate CF (2012)

Right now, I have it down to Fuji's SL1 vs Cayon's Ultimate CF, as I believe they provide the best value for my money. (Please correct my if I'm wrong).

Would the Canyon Ultimate CF be worth almost double the price compared to the Fuji SL1?

I would really like to experience a carbon frame now, having heard so many things about them. However, some weeks ago I was at a local bike shop where the owner demonstrated the flex of some lower end Dedacciai carbon frame in the bottom bracket area. It was frightening. I would have never though that this "flex" was that bad. I always though it was just something pros would notice.

So right now my biggest concern is that my new carbon frame would have similar flex.

It would great if someone could say something about the Fuji SL1 in that regard. The Canyon seems to be a safe choice, being so popular.
