Nice fork. But do you have it, ordered it or why posting it here?

This part of weightweenies is for people's real bikes - wrong part of the forum to post this.

You can see full gallery here: http://www.bikeportal.cz/fotografie/fot ... &akt=11946

It is a new TOP of the line bike from DE ROSA.
It looks GREAT! The bottom bracket area is HUGE! Also the headtube looks strong.

Isn't that what 'Introduce yourself' section is for?

This appears to be the perfect place for this discussion......."peoples real bikes" are for the introduce yourself/gallery section.

Looks like a nice design.....unfortunately they insist on perpetuating that awful logo. :beerchug:

Beautiful frame. According to R&A, it weighs approx. 925g.

Let's see ...

Massive bottom bracket to reduce deflection ... check
Oversized chain stays (probably assymetric) for optimal power transfer ... check
Tapered head tube for better tracking ... check
Aero shapes for that extra 2.6348765 watts ... check
Flat top tube for compliance ... check
Tiny seat stays for comfort ... check

So how is this different from any other carbon frame out there nowadays? Honestly ... we seem to be fast approaching spec frame designs. And how is having a carbon frame produced in Italy superior to Asia??? More expensive ... sure; superior fabrication quality ... not so sure. :noidea:

Beyond the logo/badge/decal, this does not scream "De Rosa" to me at all. Looks quite generic.
Mind you, I'm not necessarily looking for superfluous, unnecessary waves (ala Pinarello), but there is nothing that makes me look this frame and think, instantly, it's a De Rosa.

The following (among many) have distinctive design cues even if you remove their branding:
Colnago, Time, Look, Specialized, Trek, Cipollini, Canyon, BMC, Bianchi, Kestrel (!)

... but this, not so much. It's quite generic looking.

unfortunately what You say is true!

Actually made in china have the same know-how than made Europe o USA. Many big companies (in the field), for example C'dale produce in Asia and not in USA. And Colnago? .......
This is the globalization!

De Rosas aren't about the look, they're about the ride. That's the most important thing about any De Rosa.

Most, if not all, brands are known for their "ride" as well.
I can keep adding to that list - Storck, Parlee, Crumpton, Ruegamer (no longer producing) - all known for their ride, all have distinct design cues.

Why not have both? Ride, given, design cue... missing.
