Lezyne is great... unless you have removable valve cores, in which case unscrewing the pump head risks popping the core.

Which is why you should get the new ABS hose to your Lezyne. Push a tiny button to depressurize the hose after pumping the tire, and any loose valve cores (as in not properly screwed in) will not follow when unscrewing the pump. Also, the other end of the ABS hose has a presta press fit head. Problem solved!

Is the same result not achieved just by unscrewing the pump end of the hose before the valve end? Only had to use mine once to date (Conti Supersonic with removable cores). Didn't have any core issues. Can't remember exactly how I dismanted the hose after inflation though.
