Rear mech

Hi guys,
When riding up a hill and in the 25 sprocket the rear mech is just
pinging against the spokes.
I have to ride in the 23,i have mavic cosmic carbone campag hub 11 speed,
do i need a larger spacer or is it adjustment?

My bet is adjustment only. Check your limit screws and you'll probably be fine.

Yes i was thinking that, but if i bring it back a little,just wondering
if it will change up to the 25.

Or your derailleur hanger could be bent which would also make your derailleur hit the spokes.

I relaced my rear wheel recently running heads in on the DS and as a result had the same issue with spoke contact. Adjusted the derailleur limit to where it would still shift up to the large cog but just barely, and still had rubbing. Ground/filed down the derailleur cage where it was rubbing so it would clear the spokes, but then when I shifted to the large chainring it would rub the spokes again when in the largest cog, not when in the small chainring to large cog combo though. Finally I just ran a larger spacer between the cassette and hub, perfection. I ran an aftermarket lockring I had lying around that had more threads to catch since the cassette was sitting farther out, was likely unnecessary though.

Regardless, lots of little solutions. One or a combination of many may be necessary.

I believe there is a very thin shim available that fits on the splines before the cassette to give you just that extra bit of clearance,
but I cant remember who make it.
