Hi,

I just picked a nice light 3t stem (31.8 bar clamp) and its doesnt seem to clamp tight on any of my 31.8mm bars, tried it on an ITM, FSA and Cannondale bars. Stem says 31.8mm on it...

Any one have any ideas on this?

Its so close it fits snug around the bars, but the two sides of the clamp hit each other before it is tight enough on the bars.

Saw it once with an Arx Pro stem. The faceplate, where the bolts slide through, was a little too thick, so there was actually contact between the stem and the faceplate on both sides when tightened down. 3T took care of it without problem.
