It wouldn't make any difference. No issue with cranks & stays, though.

I own Super Acciaio For about 1,5 months now, and it rides amazing.
Its really stiff but also absorbs shocks way better than an Speci Roubaix can, i really like it for racing Crits the handling feels good and really predictable in the tight corners.
It is kinda heavy but if you try it could be build up to be under 6.8 kg in a size 58.

This is the light build, Currently its build up for races, I will post some good pics soon.

Those are X-bike wheels, idk if they are still selling them because some of those rims didnt hold up to descending.
I luckily havent had to wait but i do know i had the last 58,Btw Seb from condor is a great guy to be dealing with.

Maybe yes or maybe no. Maybe nicer only means lower production costs :lol:
If you want a stiff steel frame, there is only one choice - Columbus Max, I think. Unfortunately Max tubes aren't light.

Don't know where you get that idea from. MAX was stiff but to a large degree from its weight. The bare tube set weighed more than a SA frame & fork including headset. You'd still need to add in lugs, crown, dropouts & BB shell!

1. http://www.columbustubi.com/eng/4_4_9.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is not the old Max about you probably writing. Max isn't only for luggs.
Stiffness of the frame made from Max follows from i.a. different profiles and wall thikness. Frame made from Spirit or Life only will never be as stiff.
2. real weight of the lugged frame painted 56 size - 2 kg (lugged frame except HT):
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=104967&hilit=rychtarski&start=30" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
3. claimed weight of SA - 1,8 kg. I suppose that is without a fork.

Depends how the tubes are shaped, together with things like dropout choice, head tube etc.

For the weight I'll bet a SA will be more usefully stiff than a frame built from MAX, new or old.

Of course it depends on various things. But this is real case.The difference between the spirit and max is about 300 g. bUt difference in stiffness is very noticeable.

From what tubes is made SA 2013 from?
