They've been out a while so surely some Sidi fans will have logged some miles in them.

How have they found them compared to the Ergo2 especially?

Tried both (side by side) whilst i was home in Geelong for christmas. Apart from some small cosmetic stuff, i could not tell the difference. In the end it came down to the $100 price difference.

I went with the ergo 2.

have both... i couldn't tell much difference as functionally similar for the straps & locks.
carbon sole base is sturdier on the new Ergo3 but both equally stiff
Ergo 3 as adjustable sole airvents but somewhat tiny to have any significant effect.

waiting for the Liquigas version to semi-retire my super durable ergo2

Sorry?

Without trying to seem obtuse, that seems a bit of a oxymoron to me?

well, if you look at the plates... forefoot area has thicker carbon, but both equally stiff while pedalling

They come in speedplay drillings now for lower stack height.

I personally find the adjustable heal retention device a disappointment compared to some of the old Sidi Ergo's, I found my non-heal retention shoes conformed better around my foot...
