Solarider - you said it right! Everyone goes on and on about how great it is that Campy's stuff is rebuildable but I have found the same thing. You are usually better off selling the worn and/or broken parts (properly and honestly described) on ebay and replacing with new.

This time it costed me aprox 30 euro but with a Chorus lever, not a Record one.
So yes, you are pretty right. But now I am a little bit pressed to repaird it, if I didn't buy a Colnago frame I would have bought the Record11 shifters and wouldn't repair the Record 10 ones.
Thanks a lot Riccfs but unfortunately I'm from Romania so the shipping would cost much more that the repaird itself I guess.

I snapped a centaur carbon version exactly the same, so i wouldnt be so quick to diss the OPs chain of events....

Luckily i had an old xenon 9 lever, which i pinched the blade off

Does the Centaur lever work on the REcord one? A friend could give me a set of Centaur QS 10s Carbon set.
Unfortunately my package with the lever was lost It's becoming annoying to stop and change the ring.

Well my two week old 2013 shifter broke at the joint indicated in the red box. Sent it to Campy to fix under warranty. Not a happy camper.

Also a friend of mien broke one last weekend . A centaur 2011 model.
It seems that Campy really has a weakness with this. For me it's the second shifter The first one was a Mirage so I didn't bother to repair.
It's ok that we can repair them.
I didn't hear of too many Shimano broken shifters.
