I just install my PC-1091R chain, does it really not work well with Praxis rings? They recommend Shimano KMC Wippleman?
When I used DA 7900 chain it is nice at first but got loud.. the better SRAM chain seem to have tighter tolerances and is quiet as it wears

Are both chains new?

In my experience the brands that they recommend (especially the Wipperman) last wayyyy longer than the SRAM, so I would opt for one of those brands anyway.

Also, just to troubleshoot.....do you have the 7900 chain installed correct (i.e. with the lettering facing outward since the chains are asymmetric)? Usually the Shimano chains are only loud/not shifting well when they are installed incorrectly.
