New Hollowgram

Has anyone else heard about a new Cannondale Hollowgram crank in the works? I got a tip that they are working on something but I couldn't get any details.

No details at all? You didn't press hard enough.
That would be surprising considering they spec that crank on less and less bikes now

Been working on it for awhile. 2piece vs the current 3 piece. The spindle-crank arm would be build similar to the stems on the mountain bikes with leftys.

How far off is this? Should I cancel the SiSl i just ordered to go with my 2012 Red kit?
It would appear they are not in a hurry as they have one of the best cranks out AND they've been working on it since the SI became the SISL. I'd guess 2013-14

"One of" the best?!?!! Good to know. I'll keep mine and then by the time I feel like spending money there will be some new hotness. Wonder if they'll do a BB386 version?
The SISL concept is pretty good being modular though. Can use the same arms with any spider or axle length.
I would have thought the only thing they could do better is reduce manufacturing costs so they would be more cost effective to run on more models of bikes again. Being a business they then have the option of selling more aftermarket or making more profit.
If they specced their own crank they are then spending money on themselves as well rather than giving it to FSA or SRAM

I have wondered for years how long it would take them to go to 2 piece. I don't know how much weight they can really lose but they have done a great job just carving little bits here and there for a long time.
Anybody with new information? I'm hearing that these are indeed 2-piece and should be for model year 2013 meaning maybe announced in the next few months.
Also hearing there's going to be a new frame to put then on...

Starnut, any word on the carbon spider?

Maybe we'll see them on a new frame during the Tour?

Somehow i feel that seeing an unmarked prototype racing in the field is the closest we'll come to an announcement for a good while.
it's actually possible to come to the conclusion even before realising it makes no sense at all
