Yeah. Alfine is like 10x heavier than Dura-Ace. It is much harder to do maintenance on. Shifting is slower too. The tech isn't there yet for Alfine to be race ready. This is why it is better suited to commuter bikes instead of race bikes.

Yeah, sort of. I mean, not specifically Alfine, but I have tested internal geared hub bikes. They're ok, but too heavy and slow shifting for racing.
