Can anyone tell me if TRP 950SL brakes are compatible with DA7900 levers? I've tried emailing TRP directly but didn't get a response. I read somewhere about 7900 levers having different pull ratios.........??

Hi Feex, I believe that the TRP950SL is 1:3 actuation whereas the DA7900 is expecting 1:4. This is saying that using a 7900 lever will require more lever movement when combined with the TRP950SL. Those who have done this with DA7900 to DA7800 caliper have said that it does not feel right (a spongy or delayed feeling) and apparently the reverse gives an even stranger feeling. Either way the braking is not optimum.

They should still work but Shimano would not call them compatible.

Thanks KLabs. I was under that impression as the brakes didn't feel quite as strong as they should having gone from original fit OEM units.

I'm assuming that TRP make some 7900 compatible brakes.........? More spending.........
