Record Ultra Red. The pro edition - harder springs as many Campa pro riders did not like the "soft" feel of the Record Ultra commercialised for mere mortals.
I ride 'em.
Simon, no idea what the current going price is. I suspect a wee bit more than regular Records given that they are not too easy to find.
And I am a mere mortal.

I just managed to find some 'normal' Record levers in similar condition and paid £100, so as Pete says, maybe worth a little more than this.
Problem is that there are plenty of those standard Record levers for sale everywhere. The Pro Tour edition is getting very hard to find and are quite rare. That usualy means a higer value. But I am more after if anyone have seen a set being sold on ebay recently, and how much it sold for?

You could just get the spring kit to make them the harder feel and colour in the white 10 ULTRA printing with red paint!

But in the case of the levers, no one will know the difference (painting the graphics will be pretty tricky though!)

I'd be interested to try a set of "red" levers myself.
I have a theory though, that the change was simply a retreat to the earlier "BB system" spec. My "BB system" levers are noticeably firmer and more positive than the later "Ultra". Spring carrier was different.
And Campy were pretty coy about what part #'s were changed - would have been embarrassing to admit that going back to an earlier spec was an upgrade - no?
I've written several times about Campy's wrongheaded drive to lower shifter "feel" with each generation. Like we are all loosing the use of our hands.

There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?
One.
So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.

Now I just need a steady hand to paint the graphics on my '2000 vintage' levers red and I'm sorted!
