Anyone have any experience with this seatpost? Need a seatback seatpost that is stiff and light.....like the binder part, seems like a breeze to adjust.

Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated!

Reasonably solid post for it's weight and price. Biggest drawback is that it works only with round railed saddles.

Probably worth noting that the current version (SP1) has been replaced with a new version the SP5. It looses the separate bolts, previously there was one bolt for fore/aft and another for tilt, now only one bolt for both, similar in clamping method to the Enve post. Should get about 10-15 grams lighter.

Thanks Madcow! Do you know if it is easy to remove the decals on the post?

Logos are laser etched not decals certainly not easy to remove.

I think for a setback post, the Thomson masterpiece is hard to beat.

USE Alien carbon would suit your CAAD well, a little setback and availlable for different sized rails.

+1 USE are light, look good on the Cannondales and clamp is solid.

But there are 2 kinda people in the World. Those that like the 'looks' of the USE Alien and those that absolutely hate them.
I have (3), me likey.

Why do you want the post to be stiff?

I would prefer one with a little fore/aft flex for some additional comfort. Thats a nice part of the 27.2 size on the Caad10..

I have two.. thinking about getting the third (though I only have two bikes hehe.. but need the clamp for carbon rails and it's a pain to find just the clamp..)

but maybe, just maybe, it is time to try something different! suggestions, form people who actually tried the USE aliens?
