I would like to remove some carbon paint on my seatpost.

Any idea other than carbo-lift ? I cant get this in my country and their online purchase link seems not working.

I know sanding is the best option, but is that safe to do it on the seatpost ? i need to blackout the wording, its been spray by the previous owner and i dont want to scratch that clear coat.

That seat post is not painted. The surface layer is epoxy.

so what should i do now? is epoxy more worst than paint ? :noidea:

Hi, just use some 600 grit wet and dry adbrasive paper then finish with 800 grit.
You can just leave just like that or get a car bodyshop to put some 2k clear top coat on it.
If you cannot find wet and dry then scotchbrite pads will do the same job.

Just too many wording there. my whole bike are nude blackout type, it looks too busy on the seatpost.

I sanded my token seatpost. Got the decals off without touching the clearcoat ,I wet sanded it. In the end I sanded the clear off and used some 303 aero , It looks much better than the clear coat.

Just to update, i managed to use a blade cutter to shave the wording off with less scratches.will sand it after i am done. :thumbup:
