I'd have thought he'd have custom shoes and not the same off the rack everyone can buy.
Good catch. Does Froome always wear shoes 3sz too big??
Marginal gains.

Ian Boswell keeps Rapha shoes
no Sky rider wears Rapha shoes other than him
Leopold Konig wore Rapha under Bora shoecovers in Mallorca

It's not that bad. They come with a second waterproof bootie so you're saving £30 on overshoes at least
(No mention of weight yet either... they'd better be floating away at that cost!)

coolest shoe EVAH! When I get to the coffee shop, I can remove the shell and walk around in the booty - no more attracting unwanted attention clack clacking around as I wait for my Grande, double whip, no foam, 2 pump latte.
And I'm positive they are 4 watts more efficient - than my high top Converse Chuck Taylors, with laces removed, on platform pedals.

Sorry, no. Saves 4.2W per step for Froome.
They're some kind of horrid triathlon hybrid where the cycling shell can be removed to reveal a barefoot running slipper. Perfect for those tricky Ventoux ascents.
