My helmet weights;
Lazer Genesis RD M-L 305g (Nice helmet love the retention system)
Uvex Boss Race L 250g (Not a bad lid keeps out the bugs but a bit wobbly)
Lazer Blade M 311g (Uncomfortable for my nude scone - Not a fan of this one)
Bell Sweep M-L 264g (My favourite stack hat by far - good weight and ventilation comfortable on my melon too)

Any Catlike Whisper Plus owners out there?

I've got what I think is a pre-US approved Whisper Plus from 2 years ago and it's been all roses. Overall, I give it two thumbs-up @ 301g w/padding in a size L.
For comparison, my even older older Giro Atmos in size L weighs 319g with padding.

How easy is it to slot your sunnies into the vents?

tcurtbike - I don't think they're approved in Oz?
Not that it matter a dolt unless you're planning on racing. Last thing you'd want is to be pulled up 5 minutes before kick off.

Yeah, they are, just recently. They're pretty cheap to, compared to most other high-end helmets.
I have been told that you can't put your sunglasses in the Catlike Whisper either. Maybe that is why you always see Heinrich H with them on the back of his head.
Seriously, not being able to put my glasses on the front of my Lazer Genesis is killing me.

Yes, you can put my shades in the Catlike Whisper - it's a giant pain, though.
Of the dozens of holes, there's but one or two positions that work. Most positions are way too loose, including the front mounted options. The other positions are way too tight and will put some serious stretch into your sunglass frame. The one or two positions that work are up top and towards the rear of the top. Totally secure at that point.
I don't put my sunglasses up their while riding, since it can take a long time of blind trial and error before getting it right. I only put my sunglasses up there before a ride (and sometimes in front of the mirror to save time - seriously).

My Bell Volt, size medium, comes in at 313 gr. A bit heavier than I thought, but it fits great.
Giro Atmos 2010, size Medium: 277 gm. My price was $140
Giro Indicator 2010, (1 size fits all): 294 gm with visor; 281 gm visor removed. My price was $40
I had two major crashes this year that completely destroyed helmets (Giros), but I came out unscathed. I am buying only Giro from here on out. These are the weights of my replacements :
(Although the others are probably just as good.)

Giro Pro Light (european version) medium = 170g
Giro Boreas (from the 90's!) small/medium = 284g (now retired)
Bell Meteor 2 medium = 399g
Always been a giro fan, despite trying loads on (specialised, met, uvex, bell) but nothing else really hit the snug factor.

Common sense - Big fan.
