Unrelated to the Vuelta, what are the rules with regard to wearing the WC jersey while also a reigning national road or tt champ? Suppose Gilbert had won the Belgian road race nationals earlier this season, or Martin had won the German national TT. Do they get to adorn the WC jersey with their colors according to the UCI white paper or does the WC jersey supersede all but a race leader's jersey?

He has Castelli gloves, not Assos in any case which is the ones I was talking about, not sure if they look neoprene or not but given the conditions, they probably were.

AGW: Like Thor Hushovd in 2010; he'd wear the World Champion's jersey.

The race leader's jersey also usually always supersedes the leader's jersey or points jerseys in races. I believe in some instances, if a jersey is on loan because another rider holds two or more jerseys at the same time, a WC jersey will supersede the leader's jersey on loan.

Barguil pulling off the best young GT debut since Andy back at the Giro in 2007. Impressive.
