No matter what you could say, I think the Mapei kit is the best of all times, specially the 2002 version.


On the current peloton I really like the Movistar kit.

I liked the Mapei cubes as well, but I can't recall them by year date.
Which was the 2002 version? Mapei-? any pic links?

Yeah, I really hope Purito can break the monotony of the impending Sky train. Neither he nor Contador or Movistar will be able to do it by themselves. Problem is that I don't think he'll be able to actually take enough time tho. Even in the Vuelta where Froome was subpar, it took many days to dislodge him.

On Wiggo and burnout etc, I think it has to be recognised that he has to live at a completely unnatural weight in order to win a GT. I imagine the mental and physical fatigue of that over time can really get to anyone. All the other GT guys have always been slim (Contador, Nibali, Purito, even Froome).

well Uran is probably going to change team (rumors).

Giro was extremely tough so more recovery time needed. Henoa looked really out of sorts towards the end.

He picked up valuable time in both the Giro and Vuelta with those. Also, as mentioned, he's not a long climb guy. Ryder actually out rode him in the Giro on the long ones, even the long steep ones.

Which long ones did he outride him in? I don't recall that happening on the Stelvio, but I can't seem to find a comprehensive list of stage finishes for the key stages so I could be forgetting something.
