Glad they can have a laugh about it but who will make her apologise for her demeaning grab!

Awesome! :)

^ I am shocked at the lack of vitriol about this pic. Anyone would think there was some sort of double-standards around the place

I think VM lost it at Hem, 7.9km from the finish. Pointlessly led FC over the entire cobbled section, lack of patience when stalled on the track, and leading out too early. As if I could do any better.

^ But VM recovered a bit on the track there, he got Fabian on the hip and dragged him up the banking - good! But then VM started the sprint from way out...no so good.

Does anyone here know what some Radioshack riders were wearing on their wrists? A few of their riders were spotted wearing something on their wrists: one blue, one yellow. There was no consistency for which wrist (left, right) donned which colour.

:noidea:

Glad someone cleared that one up - I was thinking Livestrong/BikePure.

Conflicted.

Fabian on more traditional length bibs than his teammate just behind. Anyone knows the cause of the trend for knee long shorts?

I agree, he actually wasn't in that bad of a situation coming into the last corner. His mistake was starting the sprint too early and not at the last second where the banking was at it's steepest. Also keeping the sprint short would negate the advantage of the rider behind.

Interesting that "domestique" Eisel is often the last man standing for Sky in those races. Says a lot about experience, I guess.

Or the fact that EBH actually isn't that good.

Same for BMC with Hushovd. The fact that they still ride for him and Evans is kind of a joke. That team should have tons of firepower and their support riders often finish better than their stars.

I've said it already and I'll say it again, I think SVM rode pretty well except for the final sprint. I was timing the work each did and it was actually 50/50 and Fabian clearly couldn't get rid of him. If it wasn't 50/50 everyone would be chanting "wheel sucker", but cut the kid some slack considering how much better he rode than 98% of the "favorites"

Stybar looked the strongest out of all of them- he was my pick to win minus his bad luck. I don't think it was experience either- a bunch of riders got clipped by fans while in the gutter, however, his overshot turns were costly.

Disagree. Pro cycling is about PR, generating good image of sponsors. You don't do that by being a wheel-sucking leech. Gerrans win @ MSR last year only disgusted me...did nothing to make me want a Scott. It's not just about winning...its about earning respect doing so as well.

here's probably what happened with fabian 'oh boonen, u time trialed the last 50+ kms last year? ok this year i'll win a sprint in the velodrome'

Don't be so hard with VM! He had a broken front wheel!

It looks like the front wheel had hard contact and the brake-track split!

The real Lance Armstrong legacy.
