Great sprint and win by Sagan today at Tirreno - Adriatico! Really looking forward to see the kind of rider he will become. He's definitely a contender for sprints and possibly classics.

Sad to see Joe Dombrowski crash. Didn't look horrible and hope he can continue.

Nice to see Simon Spillak back, and in the yellow jersey group at the finish of a climb. Fans will remember him breaking free from an elitish group in the 2009 TdF and leading for the first 3k up Verbier before Bertie passed him to claim permanent yellow.

Wow, 2013 Froome looking a lot like 2012 Wiggo. Wonder whether he'll start the Tour as top favourite? Bertie's attacks don't seem to stick quite like they used to, 2012 Vuelta included.

Not saying I'm a fan of it, but it's happening...again....at least Froome is marginally ( ;) ) more interesting to watch.

Maybe Contador just needs a couple of good steaks...

Froome is performing quite well now. But Contador always seems to get a little better right before his big race. Not to mention Saxo hasn't exactly brought their A team to Adraitico, but we shall see where this goes.

Agreed that Froome is actually interesting to watch. He actually attacks rather than watch his power meter.

I wish VeloNews would explain how Porte's bike will differ tomorrow- I wish they actually asked about that kinda stuff from a tech angle.

Watching the finish of stage at Tirreno, was interesting watching Sky perform exactly like they have done previously, controlled increase in tempo back to the break. No sign of panic at all. Mind you people are starting to question how a team can be leading too stage races at once and comparing to previous "dominant" teams from the past that were doped to the gills

Richie Porte is a tremendous talent, the finest so called Wiggo domestique from '12, Roberto Uran is one of the world's finest climbers, and Froome has his off good day as well. Plus the field in P-Nice is quite weak, with Classics chaps using it for training, and it's Winter Warm up time for many in T-Adreiatico.

Sky like to dominate the early season, have a break in the Classics, and late season. They have some of the best riders, and proportionally they have more than any other team. You can't sprinkle pixie dust and create a totally dominant lead out team, you buy 'em, based on pedigree.

Aye they have some pretty strong riders in their teams. They have managed to attract talents that could be winners or leaders on other teams to be used as domestiques then taken on their training for a specific purpose. How many other teams train their riders?

Or pay 'em as well, or force 'em to do endless col training while were eating our xmas pud with mulled wine, and glancing askance at the indoor trainer.

Has anyone calculated Porte's time for Montagne de Lure?

I'm surprised that they are using Mechanical shifting for Talansky. I would have expected them to put Di2 on it, so that he could shift from the bulhorns.
