I have to say that even though the parcours favours Froome over Wiggins, I'm not sure Froome has the mental toughness to take on a much more loaded field (Contador, Schleck, Purito?, Ryder?, a better Evans?).

Wiggo bites back....ain't no Tour champion worth his salt not going to defend.

The fat lady hasn't sung yet, and Froome may be no Lemond, but let's see whether Wiggins does an Hinault to Froome. Of course, they may both be wasted by others in the field.

Hi might go but wont be the team leader once it hits the big mountains, no doubt in my eyes Froome will peak for the tour and get the leadership with Wiggins as support

Happy to see Astana picking up the asymmetry Movistar has left behind.

Random question, generally what is on those nose plugs riders have in their nostrils warming up before TTs? Menthol? Eucolyptus or something?

Just nose holes widener. Bigger holes-more air :)

Really? I doubt that. I understand the nose strips holding the nostrils more open, I use them myself, but plugs up there before I don't see that having a lasting effect over a long distance. Your nostril will go back to normal size very quickly once removed.

The nose plugs actually have some type of liniment or menthol concoction to help open & clear the airways...pro's have been doing this for decades...
