Pre sky he was riding loads around bristol and i saw him quite a few times, short of cutting his arms off i dont know where hes lost 9 kg from!

Ziplock plastic sandwich bags over your socks - the small kind that just cover half your foot.. I swear work great. I always had problems with cold toes since I moved from So Cal to Bend Oregon in 2005. When I raced a lot in the 90s I remembered a few of my buddies who traveled to Europe told me they used them so I said "why not" and it worked :lol:

Yep, you can't ride a TDF every day. He has to be the skinniest winner on record. Maintaining that weight would probably make him very sick.
