But this goes without saying: Tyler Farrar will not win. :smartass:

Well, Moreno Moser might not have been the lightest of horses, but he wasn't a real dark horse.

had Uncle Francesco won, then that would have been a dark horse.

Of course I did watch the race. Living vicariously through other people is big thing for an old fark like me so I watch all these races and spend hours speculating about these online. Still...Strade Bianche reminds me of watching a final climb on a mountain stage and I don't find that sort of stuff all that exciting. Sure this was the first (?) year of this race an early or earlyish breakaway stayed away, but I would have liked to see the big names trade some punches. I think the final climb also calms the race down as you can do quite a bit on that last 1 km. I am very sorry that I don't share the collective excitement about this race. I know this race checks most boxes when it comes to current trends, but it still does not do the trick for me.

yellow Giro TT helmets for the Cofidis team at PN prologue

and yellow Mavic helmets on the road

HOW will we know who's leading the team classification at the Tour if other teams wear yellow helmets?

I'm sure they'll switch to pink helmets when riding the TdF, out of respect for the colour yellow a la ONCE

Anyone complaining about Strade Bianchi clearly hasn't seen Fleche Wallone or many editions of Amstel Gold. There are a lot of stages and races with similar finishes.

On another note Cancellara has not won a classic since joining RSNT and it looks as if he had 0 help at Strade Bianchi. Shoulda gone to IAM or another team- I don't get why he sticks around RSNT other than $$$.
