Someone else did a similar thing in the Mendrisio world champs.... used a break in the median strip to launch an attack.

I think it could have been Rodriguez or Kolobnev?

Cav finally won something! Yeah I'm a fanboy, glad he's got a win under his belt and hopefully he builds on it

Robert Gesink's Green Mountain effort was impressive as well:

448 watts in a little over 19 minutes.

Indeed, very impressive. And still he lost 47 seconds in about 6-7 minutes.

Scary to think....

Quick Gesink story, I used to get to VIP with Rabo at the TdF. Without a doubt, even if battered and beaten he'd always be a dude, class.

cool story about running into cipo (and Ricco) on the roads around Lucca. Would you tag along?

I passed Cipo in the opposite direction on one of my rides in Lucca two years ago. I was surprised to get a wave and a "Ciao!". I would definitely have tagged along if I was going in the same direction and it was allright with him.
