An extremely good re-taking of the lead-out by 'bus under the banner' so that 'wheel sucker extraordinaire' could win. :D

Who started the matching shorts/socks/gloves/helmet getup for jersey holders... and can they still be punished for it?

Excellent leadout work from Orica today, found the perfect line!

looked like sagan's lead out pulled off 50meter earlier.

After Orica came through at speed there was no way he'd have the legs to respond after pulling from the 1k banner. Nothing for him to do but peel off and let Sagan get on with it. Sagan actually had to put in quite an acceleration to catch Gerran's wheel at that point, which could have taken just enough from his legs to stop him from being able to come round on the line.

Sagan said he's still recovering from the crash. Pretty impressive for a guy who solo'd the last 1k against a team of 3 leadout men. (was it two?), and still lose by half a wheel.

He didn't solo any of the last 1k :noidea:

Micky (ciclismo-espresso.com) reports that "team-argos-giant" web domain has been bought in the Netherlands (so the news about Giant leaving blanco-belkin should be confirmed)

in the meanwhile Cancellara signs for (Leopard)TREK until 2016, and will also become their main publicity man after he retires from pro cycling

hate that one too. i think it started around 2007-08. Lance was riding in his team shorts, so was Floyd in 2006. first 'full color jacket' i recall was Di Luca's pink outfit in Giro, 2007

Sure they can't afford to sponsor two teams? Specialized can do three.

2007? It was done a full decade earlier by the man himself, Mario!

What's the deal with Rolland and the spots - urely he can't be gunning for a good GC result if he's willing to burn matches like that in the first week?
