^That's a shame, it would have been great to watch Wiggins & Rogers helping Contador to win the Tour de France next year.

Soooo, Velo (velonews) published a report about some Specialized clinchers that would be under him when he rides (and later wins) the last TT of the Tour de France..........then a few days later, hidden in slide 32 of 33 they revealed that he rode tubbies (so it seems anyway!!).......doesn't that seem to call for Velo (and Specialized) to be a little more public about their apparent mis-information?
Here is the supposed tire that "would" be used.....

here is the later information (go to slide 32) .....tubbies were used

Yeah, I saw him riding Mt. Lemmon on Sunday. Big "Tommy D" van parked at the base.
Dominique Rollin is back in the pro peloton in 2015 with Cofidis
he did not have a contract for 2014
I saw him training in full FDJ kit and bike this February in Girona
he followed the Tour in a full Garmin kit here https://twitter.com/be_Rollin/status/491636243936325632

Looks like the article was talking about Turbo Cotton and he rode Turbo Cottons (as evidenced from photos of the bike before and during the stage).... I think you are mistaken. Velonews was mistaken that he ran tubulars.

My goodness! This scandal is going to be bigger than Armstrong's!

Doubtful but it might be a bigger scandal than Contador's exploding S-Works Tarmac (I'm being sarcastic!)
Why would tubulars be any less likely to puncture than clinchers? Especially if we're talking about the same tire in both cases.
I agree with pantelones. There's a better pic on bikeradarpantelones wrote:Looks like the article was talking about Turbo Cotton and he rode Turbo Cottons (as evidenced from photos of the bike before and during the stage).... I think you are mistaken. Velonews was mistaken that he ran tubulars.
You can see the casing says 700x24C.

Pure marketing.
= Put a product on the market by flashing really impressive "numbers" along with it.
They will sell a ton to a happy targeted crowd.
I find it funny.
Would you imagine a track tubular, the best Crr possible, being used for some road TT ?
Without the risks that go along with it ?
That wouldn't sell very well....
