Great first mountain stage in Trentino. Nibali and Wiggins duel it out, Sistou takes the honors after shedding Rolland after an early accelration on the climb.

A 'rough' feeling Wiggo held tight on all but Nibali's sharpest attack (where he did the Sky 'reel them in slowly') without any help from teammates. Evans was there till the last 4km or so where the accelerations unlatched him.

Can't wait for the Giro, going to be a fascinating clash of styles on climbs that don't really suit Wiggo. First pre-round is a push, but I think the pyschological edge goes to Wiggo.

Sistou looked so good doing it too! His spin was impeccable compared to the two trying to mash up behind him! I thought Nibali was going to drop Bradley but then he just keep turning it like always back onto his wheel. Going to be an awesome giro!

Wiggins had impressive leg speed responding to Nibali's attacks.

I'd heard that Rolland was on Osymetrics but hadn't 'noticed' them in a race till now:

He was on them at Langkawi.

Its funny because Wiggo used them and all these other dudes followed, but now he's not using them anymore.... By this time last year he was definitely on them.

Interesting. I don't recall seeing them on his TT bike earlier this year.

That was an interesting finish. Those Katusha riders just seem to have an extra power zone: Z8.

And are we sure Valverde and Rodriguez aren't Siamese twins? As goes one so goes the other.

Very nice result by Martin after his mechanical 15 km out. That's a lot of wasted effort getting back to the front, and still 4th by a whisker.

He started the Huy really far back as well, didn't move up early enough. He would definitely have been top three if he had better positioning.

For those of you that missed the Tro-Bro-Leon race, here's about 1 hr and 42 minutes worth of racing/highlight of the lesser known classic:
